Oxfordshire Flood Risk Assessment 2011

Oxfordshire Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment (PFRA) can be downloaded from here.

You can also find a map of areas subject to ground-water flooding here.

The Preliminary Assessment Report is a broadscale and strategic assessment of flood risk across the county so that Oxfordshire County Council can answer the question: “where is local flood risk significant?” This should inform the location of Flood Risk Areas, for which more detailed Flood Risk and Flood Hazard Mapping and Flood Risk Management Plans will be needed in the future. It is an initial screening exercise and is based on readily available information, such as existing Strategic Flood Risk Assessments (SFRAs), Catchment Flood Management Plans (CFMPs) and consideration of past and possible future flooding.
