IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMEMT FOR ALL RESIDENTS, COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS, BUSINESS & LAND OWNERS IN BLOXHAM
Bloxham Parish Council request you to attend a village meeting to launch the

BLOXHAM NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

Tuesday 12th February 2013, 7pm at the Warriner School
This is an important meeting and an opportunity for the community to shape the future of our village and influence any developments which may take place over the next ten to fifteen years.

What are Neighbourhood Plans?

They are new type of planning document that gives the community the power to plan our village future including what type of new homes are built and where, as well as protecting important aspects of our village and our community.

Why is this so important?

Without a Neighbourhood Plan, decisions on what and where development will take place will continue be taken out of the community’s hands. At the meeting, we will explain how a Neighbourhood Plan allows the community to identify the services and infrastructure that is needed to support our community and make development sustainable.
We can effect change or be affected by change – the choice is yours. Don’t leave it to others, find out more, come and express your views and take part in this process.

Suggested issues to be considered include:

  • Housing & Landscaping & Education
  • Flooding & Sewerage & Utilities
  • Medical & Health
  • Traffic & Transport
  • Recreation & Leisure & Local Businesses
  • Farming & Amenities
  • Youth, Mums & Tots & Place of Worship
  • Crime Reduction & Conservation & Architecture

We will also give you the latest news regarding the two planning applications submitted by Gladman & Frampton.
If you have a view on these subjects, have a skill that might be of value to the group, want to contribute, join in or merely listen and observe, make a date in your diary. This is your chance to have an input into what that neighbourhood plan might contain. A steering group will be created which will consult widely before its final recommendations go to a public vote which would then give the plan legal weight.
